An investigation remains ongoing after police said six people were injured in a shooting near the University of Delaware on Halloween night.
The Newark Police Department said they were dispatched to the area of East Main Street and Choate Street in Newark, Delaware, at 11:13 p.m. Saturday for reports of shots being fired.
Authorities said six people were shot and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The University of Delaware issued two posts on Facebook, saying university police assisted with emergency responses and continue to coordinate with local law enforcement.
Roads surrounding the university have since reopened.
Newark police and the university are asking anyone with photos, videos, or information related to the shooting to share them with police.
It is unclear if any suspects have been taken into custody.
