CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The process involved in putting together the 2027 Stark County operating budget is beginning.
County Budget Director Chris Nichols is sending out budget request documents to department heads and others who rely on county money to do what they do.
County Administrator Brant Luther says those documents are due back in about four weeks, with department leaders expected to explain any increases from last year.
Last December, commissioners passed a 94-million dollar spending plan for this year.
